Death the Kid x You Ch. 15

Stein pointed harshly at you and Kid. "Alright you too, it's going to be difficult resonating with a soul you're not used to resonating with. But it won't take as long as usual since you are already halfway through resonance."

You both nodded feverishly, glancing quickly to blush at each other.

"You are both partially in soul resonance, a bond stronger than anyone can imagine." Lord Death had told you. It was rather awkward a conversation – you were discussing a bond between him and his son. And to make it worse, this bond was stronger than anything anyone had ever experienced. It was an even closer bond than matrimony.

And you were discussing that with your boyfriend's dad.

You couldn't help but shake your head, trying to dust off the embarrassment you felt heating up in your cheeks during the recollection.

Alec stood by, watching earnestly as you tried out, for the first time, something never done by meisters and weapons. You would be resonating four souls together, transforming yourself not into a solid object, but into a being, somewhere on Kid's body or Liz and Patty's gun forms. All while doing this, you would be throwing small portions of your soul into Alec's, so he could power up with a superficial form of your wavelengths.

"Picture it like a made-up game," Lord Death explained to you earlier, "It'd be like holding onto a person while they held you piggy-back style. You have help the person holding you so they don't drop you to the ground, but you still have to be throwing a ball back and forth with Alec while doing so. It sounds a bit confusing, but you'll get the hang of it, Siqruse, and you won't even think about it after a few tries."

You recalled what you had to do quickly, and eventually nodded an okay to Stein.

You exchanged a look with Kid. You said in unison, "Soul resonance."

Kid's wavelength – his emotions, his thoughts, his entire being – surged into you, filling a part of your being that wasn't physical or mental, but spiritual. You pictured sewing torn fabric together, moving both your souls back and forth like catch. Eventually, you felt an increase in excitement and power. You felt your heart jumping. It was the feeling you get when you go down a hill on a rollercoaster, the feeling your heart just stopped. But the feeling rose, becoming stronger and stronger by the second. You both began to scream, the final thread to the stitches being mended.

"haaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!   SOUL RESONANCE!!!!"

Your heart leapt, feeling a dozen different emotions than usual – you felt Liz' soul, calm, collected, and extremely nonchalant; you felt Patty's constant cheeriness and incoherent thoughts – and you felt Kid's soul, determined and proud.

You had resonated with Liz, Patty, and Kid successfully. You felt an uplifting motion in your legs and fingertips, a tingling feeling like sand, dissolving the atoms of your body away. It soon felt quick, like air rushing past you, or water drenching you like a waterfall – you felt weightlessness.

Your body, a mass of pink light in the air, crashed down towards Kid, Liz, and Patty.

The pink light of your being curved around Kid's head like a helmet, encompassing the side of his head without stripes. You spread yourself into three sets of stripes, resting on his black hair. You felt something pull of Kid's stripes and latch onto you. You heard a clang of metal and saw a surge of blue light shoot from Kid's stripes.

"His lines—" Alec exclaimed, cut off by your wavelengths being thrown at him in short spurts. "I'm powering up too!" He yelled.

You finally took form, now able to see what was going on in a wide radius. Alec had beams of light bursting about him, the effect of your usual resonance. Large whisps of black smoke circled you, Kid, Liz and Patty. They took the form of skulls, slithering about like snakes around you. A blue, slightly transparent sphere radiated around, small fizzes of electricity spurting from it.

"WOW!!"

You sat in a strange blackness you'd never experienced before, turning your head to find a (nude) Liz sitting next to you. Her hands were outstretched, and she was looking at them in wonder and awe. Patty gasped, also exploring an odd feeling within her body. "What is this?!"

Stein and Lord Death stood in shock.
